Cali Vibes

Hey everyone, this next week will bring some upcoming changes. Elder Card is going home to Canada and I'll spend the next week in a trio with Elder Yang and Elder Burgess, until Elder Burgess gets a new companion and the four of us will all live together. I'll also be the Zone Leader here, which I'm excited about since I'll have more of a chance to uplift the missionaries here through ministering. I've gotten to know the members better and I'm making progress in the Chinese Book of Mormon. Sometimes my head hurts from studying so much but it's been good to try to make the most of my time. Honestly it's weird how much free time we have, I'm still not used to that, so I've been trying to find ways to stay busy and productive.  Some of the interesting people I've met so far: Zeid: a guy who calls us once or twice a day asking for an Elder who used to serve here. Back on the Grind

What's up everyone I am back on the mission, this time serving in Arcadia California. Showed up 5 days ago, lit as can be, just ready to absolutely grind. Being home for those 6 weeks was fun but I really did miss being a missionary. I've noticed a change immediately in myself since I became a missionary again, I feel more purposeful and just have more spiritual sensitivity. In some ways I'm glad I got sent home for a while because now I have the added perspective which helps me appreciate it more. I'm serving in a city called Chino Hills. It's your stereotypical super nice, perfect weather, rich Cali neighborhood with the green rolling hills and 5 million dollar houses. It's honestly really nice. I'm serving in a Chinese branch and most of the people who live here are Chinese which I'm super hyped about. Our apartment could be nice except that 5 Elders have lived there in quarantine for the past 2 months so it's pretty messy. Luckily I've cl...
