Corona Ball

Hey everyone,

Situation is definitely crazy but spirits are high. So we got moved to some random suburb outside the city and got quarantined. We can only go out if we have a scheduled lesson, so we do most of our lessons on video call. It's been fun to still be speaking Chinese to all my new friends I've made here. I love learning Chinese so much, it's been one of the biggest blessings of my mission.

This week has been so weird, we've spent a lot of time inside. After we studied the scriptures as much as we could and called everyone on our phones, we were still left with a lot of time. So we made up a sport called Corona Ball so we can get some exercise.

My mindset is just to do my best and trust that the Lord has a plan. I know He's got this all figured out, and I don't need to know exactly why the world is facing this crisis right now. There are blessings to be found everywhere. For example, before we got quarantined, we got to help a guy fix a flat tire which made everyone's day. We've also had several people commit to baptism (even though we're not sure if we can hold baptisms). The work is still moving forward. God has blessed me with peace, and although at times I'm getting a bit stir-crazy and just want to get out and share the gospel, I know that He has a bigger plan for us.

I hope that everyone in the world can take this time as an opportunity to consider the important things in life. Our relationships with our families. Our relationship with our Father in Heaven. How close are we with them? What can we do to be closer?

I know that there is joy to be found wherever we are. As our prophet President Nelson has said "When the focus of our lives is on Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what is happening—or not happening—in our lives".

Keep moving forward! 加油!再接再厉!
